MOMEMTUM was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Best Rock Gospel Album.

After over a decade as one-third of Christian rock/rappers DC Talk, tobyMac accomplishes the difficult leap to solo artist status with MOMENTUM. It's a mix of, obviously, Christian rapping and contemporary R&B stylings with more creative approaches, such as the computerized voice rapping on "Toby's Mac." Mac is from the Washington suburbs in Viginia, immortalized in Funkadelic's "Chocolate City" as DC's "vanilla suburbs," so it's to his credit that he's adapted the rap format, not only to Christianity, but to white-boy Christianity.

Muchos artistas aparecen en este CD, incluidos Bootsy Collins, Coffee, Dj maj, Papa san, Paul Wright, superchick, and t-bone. Kevin Michael «Toby» McKeehan, mas conocido como tobyMac, es un gran musico, productor y escritor. El fue mas conocido por ser uno de los fundadores del grupo de musica cristiana llamado dC Talk, estando con ellos desde 1989 hasta su separacion, aununciada en el 2000. Toby contunió una carrera como solista, y tiene 3 albums en su haber; Momentum(2001), Welcome to Diverse City(2004), y su mas reciente produccion, Portable Sounds(2007). Tambien tiene dos placas remix de sus primeros albums, llamadas «Re:Mix Momentum» y «Renovating Diverse City»
